Interactive flamenco workshop

Grade 11 Spanish students immersed themselves in the vibrant art of flamenco during an interactive workshop. They were introduced to traditional palos such as tangos, rumbas, alegrías and bulerías, exploring how each style reflects its own rhythm, mood and cultural roots. Students also learned key elements of flamenco dance, including footwork, arm and hand movements, and rhythmic palmas. The session featured iconic flamenco props like the fan, shawl and bata de cola, helping students understand how flamenco tells stories through movement and expression - all while experiencing the powerful spirit of el duende.
