World Language Programs

ISK’s World Languages program is a cornerstone of our commitment to fostering global citizenship and cultural understanding. With a diverse range of languages offered, ISK provides students the tools they need to thrive in a multilingual and multicultural world while appreciating the richness of global cultures.

ISK offers a rich selection of World Language Programming and Pathways. In addition to Polish, French, German, and Spanish are offered. All programs are designed following a clear developmental pathway for students to successfully and confidently enter the IBDP program in Grade 11. The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) serves as a guide for the development of our World Language Programming.  Each year, beginning in the secondary school, our students have the opportunity to take an outside assessment to assess their developmental language level in the language in which they study.

French Bilingual Diploma Pathway - A Journey to True Bilingualism

                                                                                            We are the international school in Kraków that offers a unique French Language Pathway designed for families who value the French language, culture, and the long-term benefits of bilingualism.

Starting in Elementary School, students enrolled in the Bilingual French Language Pathway study French at an advanced level. They engage in dedicated French instruction, providing a near-immersion experience that builds fluency, confidence, and deep cultural understanding from an early age.

This strong foundation in French not only opens doors to global opportunities but also prepares students to pursue the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Bilingual Diploma in high school.

World Language Proficiency and External Assessments

As part of our world language program, Middle and High School students are supported and encouraged to take internationally recognized external assessments each year, aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). This globally respected standard helps students and their families understand language progress and proficiency in a clear, measurable way.

Exams such as the DELE (Spanish), DELF (French), and Goethe-Zertifikat (German) offer our learners an opportunity to demonstrate their skills across reading, writing, listening, and speaking. These assessments not only serve as valuable milestones in a student’s language learning journey, but also provide an objective measure of ISK’s language program quality. By participating in CEFRL-aligned assessments, students gain credentials that are recognized across Europe and beyond, preparing them for greater mobility, future academic pathways, and a more global perspective.
