Learning Outside the Gates - Our Answer to "Field Trips"
Field trips are a vital extension of our classroom learning, providing unique opportunities for growth, exploration, and real-world connections. In ensuring that these experiences are truly enriching and meaningful for our students, we guide all our field trips by three foundational pillars: Relevance, Impact, and Reflection.
These pillars ensure that each trip is directly aligned with our mission, curriculum goals, and the attributes of the IB Learner Profile. They also ensure that each trip provides a structured opportunity for students to reflect on their experiences, further embedding their learning and sharing their insights with the wider ISK community and beyond.
STEAM at ISK: Fostering Creative Problem Solvers
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) plays a critical role in shaping innovative thinkers and ethical problem solvers. Our STEAM program is designed to give students hands-on experiences to cultivate a mindset that thrives on creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
In STEAM, students are empowered to design, build, and refine solutions to real-world challenges, blending technical skills with creativity. The process of iterating on designs and learning from both successes and failures teaches students resilience and adaptability, essential traits in today’s rapidly changing world.
