The International School of Krakow (ISK) follows a globally recognized international curriculum, preparing students for seamless transitions to other international schools and universities worldwide.

Admission to the International School of Krakow (ISK) is determined by our professional staff based on the applicant’s potential to benefit from our educational services and the school’s ability to meet their academic and physical needs. ISK follows a priority system, with preference given to:

1. U.S. dependents of U.S. government direct-hire and contract employees

2. Other native English-speaking foreign nationals

3. Non-native English-speaking foreign nationals

4. Other non-English-speaking foreign nationals

5. Host country citizens

ISK maintains an inclusive approach but evaluates applications on a case-by-case basis for students with special learning needs or physical limitations.

Admissions Policy

Applying to ISK is a simple, four-step process:

1. Schedule a Visit: Families are encouraged to visit our campus in person or virtually to experience ISK’s learning environment firsthand.

2. Submit an Application: Complete the online application form and provide all required documents, including previous school records and medical forms.
3. Application Review & Assessment: Our admissions team evaluates the application, and students may be required to take placement tests for English and mathematics.
4. Finalize Enrollment: Once accepted, families complete the enrollment process by paying the required fees and confirming their child’s placement.

Application process

ISK provides a transparent fee structure that ensures every aspect of your child’s education is supported.

• Early Years (ages 3-4): 45,683.00 zł
• Grades K-12 (ages 5-18): 74,868.00 zł
• Registration Fee (new students only): 2,500.00 zł (Early Years) / 6,350.00 zł (Grades K-12)

What’s Included in Tuition?

• Books & Materials: All necessary textbooks, learning resources, art and design supplies, laboratory materials, and online learning subscriptions.                                                                                                            
• Technology for Learning: To support digital literacy and ensure consistent access to learning tools, students are issued a school-owned Chromebook.    
• Field Trips: Learning Outside the Gates” Student Trips in the Elementary School, Spring Middle School Trips, High School Experiential Week.  
• World Language Programming: Opportunities to study and learn French, Spanish, and German aligned with the CEFR standard (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). We also offer native tracks in French and Polish.           
• Performance Fees: Fees for special events including guest speakers, outside performances, university fairs, etc.                                       
• University Counseling: Guidance services for university and college preparation.                           
• Medical Care: Full-time medical care provided by a qualified school nurse.

ISK reinvests 100% of tuition fees into student learning and school infrastructure as a not-for-profit institution.

Tuition & Fees

• English as an Additional Language (EAL) Support: Specialized instruction for students developing English proficiency
• Small Class Sizes: Ensuring individualized attention and tailored learning plans
• Multicultural Learning Approach: Integrating global perspectives across the curriculum
• Mother-Tongue Language Support: Programs available for languages such as Polish and French
• Personalized Learning Plans: For students requiring additional academic support or differentiation

Our diverse international community and fully certified teaching staff ensure that every student receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

• World Language Programming (French, German, Spanish, and Polish)

ISK offers a rich selection of World Language Programming and Pathways. In addition to Polish, French, German, and Spanish are offered. All programs are designed following a clear developmental pathway for students to successfully and confidently enter the IBDP program in Grade 11. The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) serves as a guide for the development of our World Language Programming.  Each year, beginning in the secondary school, our students have the opportunity to take an outside assessment to assess their developmental language level in the language in which they study.

• Native French and Polish Language Programming

Our Native French and Polish Language Programs are designed for students with a high proficiency, typically those who speak the language at home or have a strong cultural connection.  Both programs utilize the national curricula of France and Poland, as well as the IB Language A standards. These programs are designed to enhance literacy and prepare students for academic success in their home countries, and also provide a clear pathway to enter the IB Diploma program at the highest level. These programs are offered beginning in elementary school.

Extracurricular Activities

ISK provides diverse opportunities in academics, arts, athletics, and leadership, including:

• Sports & Athletics: Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Swimming, and Cross-Country, with International Competition Opportunities.
• Arts & Culture: Music, Theater, Visual Arts, as Well as Performances and Exhibitions.
• Student Clubs & Leadership: Student Council, Model United Nations (MUN), Robotics, Eco-Club, Debate, Entrepreneurship, and Service-Learning Projects.

Student Support Services

ISK is committed to student success through:

• University & College Counseling: Guidance on university applications, career planning, and standardized testing.
• Social-Emotional Well-Being Programs: Support from dedicated school counselors.
• Learning Support Services: Individualized support for students needing additional academic assistance.

ISK structures the school day to provide a balanced and engaging educational experience.

• 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Arrival and preparation for instruction.
• 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM: Core subjects (Math, Science, English, Social Studies), elective courses (Art, Music, Technology), and physical education.
• Midday: Lunch, students clubs and recreational breaks.
• Afternoon: Language classes and elective classes. 
• 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM: After-school clubs and athletics.
